OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Starting guard Arron Afflalo was out again for the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against Oklahoma City due to a strained left hamstring.

Afflalo and Melvin Ely were on the inactive list for Denver on Wednesday night. The Thunder’s inactives were centers Cole Aldrich and Byron Mullens, and Robert Vaden, who was recalled earlier Wednesday from Tulsa of the NBA Development League.

Afflalo started 69 games this season and averaged 12.6 points. He missed 13 games over the final month of the regular season, then was out for Game 1 on Sunday night.

Afflalo says he he’s already tried coming back from the injury too early three different times and wants to make sure he’s healthy before he comes back.
