EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon man has been sentenced to nearly 16 years in federal prison after being convicted of two bank robberies.
Federal prosecutors said 41-year-old Dean John Perri robbed Wells Fargo Banks in Coos Bay and Woodburn in July 2009.
Perri was arrested later that month in Springfield, where a search of his motel room located a BB gun that resembled a pistol.
At the time of the bank robberies, Perri was on supervised release on two previous federal convictions — riot at a federal penal facility and felon in possession of a firearm.
