EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County sheriff’s office says the husband of a 47-year-old Lynnwood-area woman found fatally shot in her home has been arrested in the case.

The 49-year-old man has been hospitalized in Seattle. Sheriff’s Lt. Kathi Lang says Edmonds police found him “drifting in and out of consciousness” last Friday evening in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, which was blocking a highway offramp.

Lang says police recovered a handgun from the car.

The next day — Saturday — sheriff’s deputies checked the couple’s home at the request of Cristy Ann Larsen’s co-workers and found her body. The Snohomish County medical examiner says she died of multiple gunshot wounds. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
