NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Congressman Tim Scott plan to meet with reporters to discuss a complaint against Boeing Co. that could have an impact on its South Carolina operations.
The three meet in North Charleston on Thursday to discuss the National Labor Relations Board’s request for a court order forcing the aerospace company to maintain its second 787 assembly line in the Pacific Northwest.
The complaint alleges the company decided to move the line to South Carolina because it was concerned about strikes by union workers in Washington State.
Graham calls the complaint one of the worst cases of unelected bureaucrats doing the bidding of special interest groups he has ever seen.
Haley says the complaint meddlesome and self-serving.
