TUALATIN, Ore. (AP) — A Tualatin police officer suffered a minor injury when he was head-butted by an assault suspect.

Police say officers had arrested two intoxicated men suspected of punching a 17-year-old in the face and throwing him in the Tualatin River. As the suspects were being moved into a holding cell Thursday night at the Tualatin Police Department, one head-butted the officer, causing a minor head injury.

The officer was treated at Meridian Park Hospital.

The two suspects are held in the Washington County Jail on assault charges.
