MIAMI (AP) — The wife of Brandon Marshall has been released on bond after authorities say she stabbed the Miami Dolphins wide receiver.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Michi Nogami-Marshall stabbed her husband in the abdomen with a kitchen knife Friday evening. The report says she told officers she was defending herself.
Nogami-Marshall left the jail Saturday on $7,500 bail. It was unclear if she had an attorney.
A statement from Brandon Marshall’s agent, Kennard McGuire, said Marshall will make a full recovery.
The NFL lockout restricts team contact with players. However, Dolphins officials say they were told by the league their team doctor is allowed to see Marshall and consult with Marshall’s other doctors.
