SALEM, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon State Penitentiary spokeswoman says the Salem prison plans to return to normal operations Wednesday after restrictions that followed a weekend fight involving 81 inmates.

Spokeswoman Michelle Whitney Dodson says prison visits will resume Wednesday, although a recreation yard schedule will be modified.

Sunday’s fight in the recreation building and yard remains under investigation. Staff fired a warning shot and used chemical spray to control the inmates. Some prisoners and staff received minor injuries.
