PHOENIX (AP) — Philadelphia Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz left after one at-bat against the Arizona Diamondbacks with lower back tightness.

Ruiz started Wednesday against Arizona and flew out to left in the first inning off Joe Saunders to extend his hitless streak to 21 at-bats. He didn’t come out for the bottom half of the inning and was replaced by Brian Schneider.

Ruiz is hitting .230 with two homers and nine RBIs.
