A Battle Ground man admitted to stealing a cash box on Wednesday used to collect donations at the city’s community center, police say.

Micah Crowson, 23, was located by Battle Ground police and allegedly admitted to the 12:30 p.m. theft. The box contained more than $100, according to a police news bulletin. When police located Crowson, he led police to the missing donation box.

He was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and booked into the Clark County Jail.

The Battle Ground Community Center is located at 912 E. Main St.
