Go Dutch to fight Lou Gehrig’s disease

Dutch Brothers Coffee, with 159 locations throughout the West and one in Vancouver, will donate all its coffee-sale proceeds today to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. the effort is in honor of Dutch Brothers co-founder Dane Boersma, who was diagnosed with the muscle-wasting disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2005. He died in 2009.

Last year, Dutch Brothers contributed $110,000 to MDA for research and services.

The Vancouver Dutch Brothers location is at 5700 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd. Customers may also make special donations and buy special $7 mugs to benefit MDA.
