PHILOMATH, Ore. (AP) — A 20-year-old man faces aggravated murder charges after his girlfriend and their 1-year-old son were stabbed to death near Philomath, west of Corvallis.

The Benton County sheriff’s office says Gustavo David Martinez Aquepuncho was arrested after deputies found 19-year-old Kelsey Rozetta Baker and the boy in a home Friday.

The sheriff’s office says in a written statement that Benton County District Attorney John Haroldson expects to file aggravated murder charges Monday on the grounds that the murder involved more than one victim, and that a victim was under 14 years old.

Arraignment is expected Monday afternoon in Benton County Circuit Court.

It’s unclear whether the suspect has an attorney who could be reached for comment.
