Battle Ground — Despite the rain, more than 500 people participated in the July 17 Harvest Days Run organized by Get Bold Events. In three years, the run has more than tripled in size. The run included a half-marathon, an 8K and a 2-mile family run/walk course. The run, which began and ended in Battle Ground Village, raised $1,000 for the North County Community Food Bank. Winners received cash prizes, and participants enjoyed music, food, classic cars and free T-shirts. Get Bold Events is a nonprofit group founded by Karen King and Elba Benzler.
