Fires burn two houses at Lake Oswego

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (AP) — No one was injured in fires that burned two house overnight at Lake Oswego.

Damage is estimated at $140,000 to a house that burned Monday night. Firefighters found the family dog inside uninjured.

The second house is considered a total loss with damage estimated at $175,000. Firefighters say flames spread from a cooking fire early Tuesday, and a man and his mother safely escaped.
