KATOWICE, Poland (AP) — German cyclist Marcel Kittel won the third stage of Tour de Pologne on Tuesday, his third straight victory in the race to extend his overall lead.
The Skil-Shimano rider finished the 84.3-mile fairly flat course in 3 hours, 9 minutes, 29 seconds. Romain Feillu of France was second, followed by Jonas Aaen Joergensen of Denmark.
Kittel is 17 seconds ahead overall from second-place Adrian Kurek of Poland. Gianluca Maggiore of Italy is 22 seconds back in third.
The 68th edition of the Tour de Pologne is made up of seven stages totaling 692 miles. The race ends Saturday.
