Aspiring food entrepreneurs are invited to find out if their products could one day be sold on the shelves of the soon-to-open New Seasons Market.

A “Home Grown Vendor Fair” will be held Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Suite D-111, of the Fisher’s Landing Marketplace, 2100 S.E. 164th Ave., Vancouver. New Seasons buyers will be on site to sample regional fare.

Potential items of interest include local jams, sauces, cheese, micro roasted coffee, chocolate, pastries and pickled vegetables.

“As a Northwest owned and operated company, we want to connect with growers and crafts people in the community so that we’re supporting home grown talent,” said Lisa Sedlar, CEO of New Seasons Market. “We’re excited about coming to Vancouver, and we want to meet new producers and increase our inventory of Washington products.”

The 40,000-square-foot market is expected to open this fall, at the site of a former Albertsons. A job fair to hire approximately 175 employees will occur in late September.

To reserve an appointment with a New Seasons Market representative at the fair, email homegrownhunt@newseasonsmarket.com. For more information about the company, visit www.newseasonsmarket.com.
