PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter rescue crew has airlifted to safety a Portland woman missing for the past three nights in the Mount Hood wilderness.
KGW-TV reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/oy3vMx) that shoe prints led searchers to 28-year-old Pamela Salant in a drainage on Lindsey Creek.
Salant was reported missing Sunday by her boyfriend, Aric Essig, after the two had separated while searching for a campsite near Bear Lake on Saturday.
Helicopter crews spotted Salant about 2 p.m. Tuesday wading in Lindsey Creek about a mile from Bear Lake, waving at searchers.
