UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — The New York Islanders have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with forward Jon Sim.

Sim had 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 77 games last season, his third with the Islanders.

“Jon brings an unmatched work ethic and veteran leadership to our lineup and we’re excited to have him back for the upcoming season,” Islanders general manager Garth Snow said.

Sim has 135 points (74 goals, 61 assists) in 435 career games in his 12-year career.

He was a third-round selection of the Dallas Stars in the 1996 draft.
