Deputies investigating the murder of a Kelso man say he was beaten to death, and that they have yet to make an arrest.

Serhiy A. Ishchenko, 48, was found dead at his sister’s home between Kelso and Kalama on Monday morning.

An autopsy Tuesday showed he died of “homicide, caused by multiple blunt force traumatic injuries” according to a sheriff’s news release.

Ishchenko is the brother of Yelena Fedoruk, who resides at 140 Home Town Drive, where the body was found about 10 a.m. by family members, who searched for him after they noticed he was missing.
