Truck kills pedestrian in Redmond

REDMOND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon State Police say a pedestrian was killed by a commercial truck overnight when he tried to cross a highway in Redmond.

The accident blocked Highway 97 for three hours.

Police say the victim, a 35-year-old man they have yet to identify, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 43-year-old man from Burbank, Calif., was not injured in the crash.
