The Sleep Country Amphitheater has teamed up with Share for a food drive that will also drive attendance at Toby Keith’s Aug. 19 concert.

Each person who brings a donation of at least 10 pounds of nonperishable food in a new, reusable grocery bag to the Grand Central Fred Meyer, 2500 Columbia House Blvd., between 2 and 7 p.m. Aug. 10, will get two tickets to the Keith concert.

A donation of at least $20 instead of food also gets the two tickets. And the person who provides the heaviest donation will win a six-seat VIP box package for the concert.

“We are delighted that Sleep Country Amphitheater has partnered with us to hold this food drive,” said Share Executive Director Diane McWithey. “Food insecurity remains a daily reality for thousands of individuals in our community, especially during the summer months, when families do not have access to free and reduced-fee meals for their children.”

Vouchers will be issued to qualified participants; vouchers can be redeemed only on the day of the show, in person, at the amphitheater will-call office.
