A memorial service for an 11-year-old Vancouver boy who drowned in Camas last month will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community Church, 7708 N.E. 78th St., east of Hazel Dell.

Anthony Alan Seitz drowned on the afternoon of July 19 at the Potholes, south of Round Lake.

The area has waterfalls and hollowed-out rocks with bowl shaped pools. Many swimmers jump off cliffs from as far up as 20 feet into the water below, officials said. In addition, the water can be swift and cold.

Anthony had just completed fifth grade at Mill Plain Elementary School, a family member said.
