Help needed to build, fix trails

Volunteers are need for trail work parties at Beacon Rock State Park and Bird Creek Meadows on the southeast side of Mount Adams this month.

Organized by the Washington Trails Association, the work party at Beacon Rock will be on Aug. 11 to help complete a new trail near Hardy Creek. On Aug. 13-14, volunteers will work at Bird Creek Meadows, a spectacular alpine setting on Washington’s second-tallest peak.

No experience is needed. Tools and instructions are provided.
