ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Cleveland Indians outfielder Shin-Soo Choo will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Lake County of the Midwest League on Monday, the next step in his return from a broken left thumb.
Choo was examined on Saturday by team medical personnel in Cleveland, and he was cleared to start playing again.
Choo has been on the disabled list since June 25. He’s been taking batting practice, and is now ready for full baseball activities.
