BALTIMORE (AP) — In the midst of the worst season of his career, Chicago White Sox slugger Adam Dunn says he will report to spring training camp in better shape next season.
Signed as a free agent to a four-year contract in December, Dunn was batting .163 with 11 homers and 142 strikeouts entering Monday night’s game against the Orioles.
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen suggested Sunday that Dunn should have worked harder during the offseason, and Dunn apparently agrees.
On Monday afternoon, Dunn said he will “do what I can to not let this happen again, obviously.”
