MIAMI (AP) — Dwyane Wade says he will play “somewhere” this coming season.
The Miami Heat guard tells The Associated Press that he is hopeful the NBA lockout will end in time to save the season. If that does not happen, he will play internationally. He denies reports of receiving a $2 million-per-month offer from a Chinese team, saying that’s only a rumor.
He also says he would consider taking on a more vocal role in any talks that might end the lockout, if it would help.
Wade’s schedule for the next few days is set: Business meetings in New York, workouts at Marquette and then a fantasy camp next week in South Florida for about 100 fans.
After that, things are decidedly uncertain.
