Indianapolis 500 will stay on ABC through 2018

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis 500 will stay on ABC through 2018.

The new six-year rights agreement was announced Wednesday. The race has been on ABC since 1965.

The network will televise the 100th running of Indy in 2016 under the deal.

ESPN on ABC will air four additional IndyCar races each year.
