SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police detectives put out an arrest warrant for a man suspected of smashing windows in the downtown Belltown neighborhood and found he was in custody in Snohomish County on an unrelated crime.

Spokesman Mark Jamieson says the 28-year-old is facing a felony malicious mischief charge because of the extent of the damage. About a half dozen big windows at restaurants and other businesses were smashed in the overnight hours on a couple of days in mid-June.

The suspect was moved Tuesday to the jail in Seattle, pending charges.
