NEW YORK (AP) — A teenager accused of getting drunk and urinating in the cabin of a JetBlue flight from Portland, Ore., to New York could be facing a federal misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

Eighteen-year-old Warren, Vt., resident Robert “Sandy” Vietze (veetz) was dismissed from the U.S. Ski Team’s development squad after he was detained by police at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday morning.

Police accuse him of urinating on a 12-year-old girl.

A lawyer for the girl’s family denies that account and says he urinated on the floor next to her.

Attempts by The Associated Press to reach Vietze for comment have been unsuccessful.

A U.S. attorney’s office spokesman said Friday the case against Vietze is pending.

JetBlue Airways Corp. is based in New York.
