WEMBLEY, England (AP) — Lee Chong Wei moved within one win of becoming the first Malaysian to win a world badminton title by defeating champion Chen Jin 21-13, 21-9 Saturday at Wembley Arena.

Despite the pressure of expectation in his home country, Lee produced his scintillating best. He took six points in a row from 14-10 in the first game, and nine straight from 8-8 in the second.

Three-time former world champion Lin Dan of China faces Peter Gade of Denmark in the second semifinal.
