ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver Broncos run-stuffer Ty Warren has a torn triceps that will sideline him indefinitely.

Fellow defensive tackle Marcus Thomas has a strained pectoral muscle that’s expected to keep him out at least until the regular season. Both were injured Monday.

The Broncos aren’t giving up hope that Warren could play at some point this season.

Warren was the Broncos’ biggest offseason addition, signing a two-year, $8 million deal after he was cut by the Patriots. His deal included a $2.5 million signing bonus and $1.5 million in 2011 salary.

Warren, 30, missed all of last season with a hip injury. Surgery might end his season and maybe even his career, so both he and the Broncos would rather put off an operation in hopes he can heal enough to play.
