OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Seattle voters appear to be giving the go-ahead to a tunnel project that would reshape the city’s waterfront. Early results in Tuesday’s primary election show a referendum on the plan being approved easily, 60 percent to 40 percent. Thousands of ballots still must be counted.
Officials have been debating how to replace the aging Alaskan Way Viaduct for years.
