SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — Police have found no immediate sign of a gunman at Santa Monica College after getting a report of an armed man on the Southern California campus.
Santa Monica police Lt. Kathy Keane said Tuesday the school remains on lockdown but police have found no immediate evidence of a gunman.
A college spokesman said at least three people reported seeing an armed man, but Keane said that information may be wrong and only one phone call apparently came in.
School is not in session but teachers and some incoming freshmen are on the college grounds.
