SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle City Council is asking voters to approve a new $60 vehicle license fee.

KOMO reports (http://bit.ly/nr9V1L ) the car tab measure approved Tuesday by the council will appear on the November ballot in the city.

The revenue would be spent for transit, road maintenance and improvements for pedestrians and bicycles.

If approved by voters, the $60 fee would be on top of the $20 car tab fee approved Monday by the King County Council to avert some cuts in Metro Transit.
