KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Yankees manager Joe Girardi says he may not activate Alex Rodriguez in time for Thursday night’s game at Minnesota because the three-time MVP says his right knee still feels tentative.
Rodriguez was scheduled to play his final rehab game for Triple-A Scranton on Wednesday night. He underwent surgery last month for a torn meniscus.
Girardi said before the Yankees’ game in Kansas City that he still plans to bring Rodriguez to Minnesota on Thursday where the Yankees will open a four-game series. But he might wait a few days to activate him.
