LEAVENWORTH, Wash. (AP) — Winds were calm overnight in the Leavenworth area where firefighters are trying again Friday to control a wildfire that has burned about 200 acres and closed Highway 2 at Tumwater Canyon. Traffic is detoured along a 15 miles stretch of the highway.
KPQ reports an air quality advisory was issued for Leavenworth because of the smoke.
The fire is burning grass, shrubs and trees. No structures are threatened.
