GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida officials say receiver Andre Debose and right tackle Matt Patchan are eligible for this season.

Debose and Patchan were mentioned in the Yahoo! Sports story alleging that a Miami booster gave extra benefits to players. According to the story, several Miami assistant coaches delivered top-tier recruits, including Debose and Patchan, to booster Nevin Shapiro’s home or luxury suite for recruiting pitches.

Florida says it has been in communication with the NCAA and “there are no eligibility issues with Andre Debose and Matt Patchan as it relates to recent reports.”

Debose is a backup receiver. Patchan is vying for a starting spot.

The Gators say the players and school will have no additional comment.
