KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Two men have been charged in an incident during a Sporting Kansas City soccer match in which the Kansas City goalkeeper was hit in the face with a bobblehead doll thrown from the stands.

Cody Wente was charged Friday in Wyandotte County District Court with felony aggravated battery and was being held on $10,000 bond. The 23-year-old is accused of throwing an Omar Bravo bobblehead that hit goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen just under his left eye in Wednesday night’s game against Portland.

On Thursday, 21-year-old Robert Hauver was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and released from jail.

Nielsen was examined by medical personnel and continued to play in Sporting KC’s 3-1 win.
