KENT, Wash. (AP) — Kent police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a 28-year-old man outside his apartment.

The victim was killed with a single shot to the torso just before 10 p.m. Friday.

The motive wasn’t immediately known. Detectives are interviewing the the victim’s family and other witnesses to determine who might have fired the shot. Sgt. Jarod Kasner says the shooting did not appear to be random, nor is there any indication it was gang-related.
