Vancouver — Second Step Housing, a nonprofit agency that provides affordable housing for formerly homeless women and families, will strut its stuff on Sept. 7

That’s the date of Step into Fashion, a runway fashion show, silent auction and dinner. Among the models will be Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt and Battle Ground Mayor Mike Ciraulo as well as folks from Sports & Lifestyle Unlimited. Attire will be provided by Camas boutique Lily Atelier and Ridgefield’s Agave Denim. Park West Studio will style hair.

“One of the life skills we teach our residents is how to dress for success,” said Debby Dover, Second Step’s executive director. “This year’s Step into Fashion event is a natural extension of the service Second Step provides.”

Two residents will be selected for professional makeovers for the event, which is sponsored by Walsh Construction Co. and Fazzolari Custom Homes & Renovations.

The event is 5:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 302 W. Sixth Street. Tickets are $40. Contact 360-993-5301 or events@secondstephousing.org.
