JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed running back Albert Young and waived injured safety Terrell Whitehead.

If Whitehead clears waivers, he will revert to the team’s injured reserve list. Whitehead injured his right shoulder in Friday’s preseason game against Atlanta.

Young spent the past three seasons with Minnesota. He has played in 10 career games, with 25 carries for 82 yards. He played in three games last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Young gives the Jaguars depth for the final two preseason games. Deji Karim (concussion) probably won’t play Saturday at Buffalo, and it’s unclear whether starter Maurice Jones-Drew will get any preseason repetitions.
