MOUNT ST. HELENS, Wash. (AP) — Workers hope to finish pouring concrete this week on an outdoor amphitheater at the Johnston Ridge Observatory near Mount St. Helens.
The Forest Service says it will seat about 150 people to hear presentations about the volcano in a landscape of shattered stumps and blown down trees.
The Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/nALc6h) the amphitheater could be completed for tourists this season, weather permitting.
