MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment in Douglas County.

The sheriff’s department says the victim of the shooting Tuesday night in Myrtle Creek south of Roseburg was 38-year-old Brian Woodruff.

In a statement, deputies say the apartment’s occupant, 28-year-old Robert Young, told them he shot Woodruff in self-defense after Woodruff forced his way in and made threats.
