NAPA, Calif. (AP) — Quarterback Terrelle Pryor has taken the practice field for the first time with the Oakland Raiders.

Pryor participated in Oakland’s final training camp practice in Napa on Friday.

Pryor can practice until the Raiders play their final exhibition game in Seattle on Sept. 2. Then a five-game suspension starts. Commissioner Roger Goodell imposed the suspension when he allowed Pryor into the supplemental draft.

Pryor was supposed to sit out the first five games for Ohio State after an investigation into the team’s memorabilia-for-cash scandal that cost coach Jim Tressel his job.

The former Ohio State star was taken in the third round of the supplemental draft on Monday. He signed a four-year contract Thursday.

The Raiders also signed veteran cornerback Lito Sheppard.
