Shumway — The YWCA Clark County received $15,000 via its participation in the Red Dress Party put on by Red Dress PDX, a charity that supports gay causes. At the 11th annual Red Dress Party in April, attendees donned their finest red gowns and proceeds were donated to the Y and two related Portland agencies, the Q Center and Pivot of CAP. The YWCA will use the money to support its domestic violence prevention and education program for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.
