LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The world’s top sports court has imposed a 4-month doping ban on a 15-year-old acrobatics world champion, rejecting the World Anti-Doping Agency’s request for a longer punishment.

WADA had wanted the Court of Arbitration for Sport to impose a 2-year ban on Anastasiya Melnychenko of Ukraine. She tested positive for furosemide, a banned diuretic, at the European Team Championships in Poland last October.

The International Gymnastics Federation had banned Melnychenko for 2 months after finding the 2010 women’s pairs world champion was given medication containing furosemide by a hospital doctor treating her nose infection.

CAS issued a 4-month ban, less the two months Melnychenko has already served.
