BAGHDAD (AP) — The Iraqi Football Federation says former Brazilian great Zico has arrived in the country to negotiate a deal to coach the national team.

Tariq Ahmed, the general secretary of the Iraqi Football Federation, said Saturday that negotiations with Zico on terms and conditions will be held in the northern city of Irbil and a press conference was be held Saturday afternoon.

Ahmed told The Associated Press that 58-year-old Zico — who formerly coached Japan and several club sides, most recently Olympiakos — will take over as coach as soon as the contract is completed.
