LOS ANGELES (AP) — The start of the game between the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers is being delayed because the umpires hadn’t arrived at the ballpark.

Friday night’s game, set to begin at 7:10 p.m., was pushed back 10 minutes to give the crew of Hunter Wendelstedt, Brian Knight, Jerry Layne and Bob Davidson extra time to arrive.

A team spokesman says they were delayed by a fatal accident on the freeway that didn’t involve the umpires.
