RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — Construction starts next month at Washington State University Tri-Cities on an outdoor stage that officials hope will be a gathering place for students and community events.

KVEW reports (http://bit.ly/pqumic) ground was broken Friday on the $140,000 project. Funding comes from the Columbia Center Rotary Club, city of Richland and WSU Tri-Cities students.
