DALLAS, Ore. (AP) — A prosecutor says a Willamette Valley woman accused of conspiring with her boyfriend to murder his parents has accepted a plea deal and will serve 20 years.
A statement from District Attorney Stan Butterfield noted that Cindy Lou Beck’s no-contest plea Tuesday came a year to the day after the deaths of David and Marilyn Jondle at their farm southwest of Dallas in Polk County.
In July, their 21-year-old son, Andrew, pleaded guilty to aggravated murder in a plea bargain carrying a minimum 50-year sentence.
Butterfield says Beck and Andrew Jondle were after money to avoid eviction from their Salem apartment and to get Beck’s children out of state custody.
