MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A Portland man has been charged with arson after police say he set three fires in his sister’s house and fell asleep.

The Medford Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/n3t4MU ) other people were asleep in the home when 26-year-old Ronald Fehlhaber allegedly set fire to curtains, a towel and a box of envelopes last week.

Firefighters found smoke coming from the home and doused the fires before they could spread.

Police say they woke an intoxicated Fehlhaber and say he began to fight them. They used a stun gun to subdue and handcuff him.

Fehlhaber was being held in the Jackson County Jail on $1 million bail.
